Duane Gardner (owner) has been working with concrete and coatings since 1983, where he was the first person to start concrete edging and laid the groundwork for what that industry is today. In the mid 80’s concrete overlays started and by 1990, Duane also expanded into concrete flatwork and concrete overlays, being one of the first people in the new emerging industry.
Duane has grown up in the concrete industry as it has evolved and he continued to keep up with all the new innovations, through the years. He has trained with all of the manufactures he supplies and continues his training with the manufacturers in addition to the classes he teaches. In 2003, Duane started Contec Supply and the distribution of products and has become a full-service store in all aspects of the industry including rentals. He has a love of the many art forms concrete can take on. His knowledge and background includes all aspects of the concrete industry including but not limited to; sealers, concrete countertops, 3D/faux carving, staining, epoxy, waterproofing, etc.
If you happen to not find him working you will find him enjoying the outdoors somewhere in the Intermountain West.
